The Humber and North Yorkshire (HNY) Respiratory Clinical Network and Children and Young People’s Asthma Transformation Programme would like to invite you to the launch of the updated HNY Asthma Guidelines. The guidelines have been revised by clinicians across Humber and North Yorkshire to ensure alignment with new national BTS/NICE/SIGN asthma guidelines.

The webinar will also provide an overview of the new Respiratory Diagnostics Locally Enhanced Service, which commissions spirometry and FeNO in primary care across Humber and North Yorkshire.

The revised guidelines continue to recognise the importance of identifying and addressing over-reliance on reliever inhalers.

The guidelines include recommendations for the following patient groups:

  • Suspected Asthma in Children Aged 2-5 Years Old
  • Confirmed Asthma in Children Aged 5 -11 Years Old
  • Confirmed Asthma in People Aged ≥ 12 Years Old
  • Suspected Severe Asthma (Aged ≥ 12 years)

The webinar will be chaired by Professor Michael Crooks, Clinical Lead for the Humber and North Yorkshire ICB Respiratory Network.
