Event Details
This event is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and girls. Bringing together leaders in research, healthcare, policy, and community support, this one-day conference shines a light on the disparities affecting women’s health and drives meaningful action.
Why Attend?
Addressing the gender health gap
Women continue to face delays in diagnosis, unequal access to treatment, and limited research for conditions such as endometriosis, menopause, cardiovascular disease, and more. This conference aims to challenge those inequalities head-on. Hear from experts shaping national policy, including insights from the Women’s Health Strategy and the realities affecting women locally.
Fostering collaboration and shared learning
We’re bringing together local academics, healthcare professionals, charities, and community organisations to discuss emerging evidence, share lived experiences and identify the gaps that matter most. The conference provides a unique platform to form new partnerships, strengthen community-led interventions, and influence future research priorities.
Promoting education, awareness and practical change
Delegates will gain access to practical strategies for improving women’s healthcare, from enhancing access and experience to supporting service providers with evidence-based approaches. Workshops will explore themes such as:
- Tackling diagnostic delays
- New treatments for chronic illness
- Cardiovascular disease in women
- Menopause and workplace wellbeing
- Community engagement
What to expect on the day
The event features a packed programme of keynote speakers, themed sessions, interactive workshops, exhibits from local charities and organisations and showcases the pioneering work taking place across our region.
