New Chief Executive Medical Director at Humberside LMCs

Humberside LMCs is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Zoe Norris as Chief Executive Medical Director.

Zoe, who is currently LMC Medical Director, will take up her new post in January 2023 leading the organisation, which represents and supports GPs and practices in East Yorkshire, Hull, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. She has extensive experience in the region having worked both as a GP partner and as a salaried GP, and also in medical education and as a GP appraiser.

She says:

“I am delighted to be taking up this new role leading the organisation in supporting our dedicated GPs and practice teams. General practice is facing unprecedented pressures with staff facing ever increasing demands against a backdrop of long-term issues with recruitment, workload, and resources.

In recent years the LMC has considerably expanded its offer to GPs and practices through such a challenging time, and I’m committed to delivering on our strategy to support our workforce and practices to provide the best care possible to our communities.

I’d like to thank the LMC committee and our staff team for their help and support, and also the outgoing Chief Executive Simon Barrett, who has overseen a period of considerable change and development in the organisation.”

Zoe is looking forward to engaging with LMC constituents and stakeholders and can be contacted via email
