Lincolnshire LMC is currently working hard to organise another useful and memorable event; including essential updates, educational sessions, leadership seminars and tips and tricks to help with the daily grind.

Agenda includes:

• We are welcoming Kay Keane back for another year, bringing her experience and insights as a Practice Manager and Chair of the IGPM, as well as humour to the role of conference chair!
• Keynote: Attention Intelligence®: The Key to Unlocking People, Performance and Presence in the Digital Age: In this entertaining and practical session, Alexander Bell introduces Attention Intelligence®, a human-first framework to strengthen focus, reduce distraction and build a healthier workplace with technology. In a blend of humour, history and science, Alexander will explore our relationship with technology and reveal how practices can reframe the digital narrative from distraction and overwhelm to clarity and connection and rediscover why being human is the greatest skillset we have.
• Looking After Yourself and Your Team: Whether you’re looking to support your own wellbeing or better support your team, this session offers practical insights and valuable resources to help you and your team thrive.
• Employment Legislation Update Stay up to date with the latest developments in employment law. Join Ian Pace, Partner at Weightmans LLP, covering updates to the Employment Rights Act 2025, equality and diversity, working families, flexible working, trade unions, and other key legislative changes, this essential session will provide practical insights to help you stay informed and prepared. You won’t want to miss it with the upcoming changes to the third-party harassment legislation coming into effect from 1st October.
• John Hipkiss; Laughter Therapy, boosting health, communication, positive thinking and creativity! This session focusses on improving team cohesion and strengthening communication which in turn builds resilience amongst teams.
• Taming the Email Beast! Incredibly useful session delivered by our very own Nick Turner, LMC Practice Support Officer. Ever felt like there is a never ending stream of emails swamping your mailbox, leaving you with a terrible gnawing feeling that something important may have been missed? This is the session for you!
• CQC’s Director for Primary Care and Community Services, Paul Johnson will be delivering an update and answering questions. Practice managers can benefit from insights and information about what to expect from the CQC in the coming months and years as well as getting answers to questions in real time.
• Dealing with difficult people with David O’Brien: Develop practical skills and greater confidence in handling challenging conversations in this engaging, high-impact session. Using realistic patient and staff scenarios, delegates will observe, analyse and discuss effective approaches to managing difficult situations in a supportive learning environment. You’ll leave with practical techniques and strategies that can be applied immediately in the workplace
• An Update from Caroline Goulding, Director of Primary Care for the DLN Cluster: With the formation of the Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire ICB Cluster, Caroline Goulding has recently taken up the role of Director of Primary Care. In this session, Caroline will introduce herself, outline her priorities and vision, and provide an update on the latest developments across the cluster. Delegates will gain insight into the direction of travel for primary care and have the opportunity to hear about the opportunities and challenges ahead.
• NHS Neighbourhoods: Covering the effects Neighbourhoods may have on PCNs plus the wider ramifications for general practice in the 10-year plan.
