Practices are still advised to follow the BMA’s safe working guidance to support and enable practices to prioritise their delivery of safe, high-quality patient care, within the regulatory and professional expectations of the Primary Medical Services (GMS/PMS) Contract.
Safe Working
and the GP Contract
GPC England has voted to agree in principle the proposed amendments to the 2025/26 GMS contract for GP practices. The 2025-26 contract includes new investment of £969m on top of the £433m invested in the autumn of 2024, totalling over £1.4bn investment since July 2024.
