Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (Integrated Care System) Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Collaborative Programme are delighted to announce their seventh annual international conference, aimed at health professionals.
This year we are focussing on Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health, including the link to infant and children and young people’s mental health and importance of prevention and early intervention.
The conference will be held virtually, will be live and interactive. We are delighted to announce Dr Andrew Cairns as our keynote speaker. Dr Cairns is a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist, and Psychiatric Advisor to the Confidential Enquiry into Maternal Deaths.
We will also have national updates from Tom Cahill, National Learning Disability and Autism Director, NHSE. Attendees will also hear from local organisations and services, and from people with lived experience, through our local showcase.

In today’s healthcare climate—marked by escalating workloads, recruitment challenges, and tightening budgets—cultivating a culture of compassion has never been more vital. This interactive session explores the evidence behind building positive team cultures and sustaining compassionate leadership in demanding environments.
We’ll examine:
- The research underpinning effective team culture development
- The critical role of psychological safety in enabling openness and innovation
- How clearly defined organisational values provide the foundation for all meaningful change
- The “sweet spot” where passion, values, and signature strengths intersect, enabling teams to reach high performance
Through real-world case studies, individual and group exercises, and a range of practical tools and tips, participants will gain the insight and skills needed to strengthen compassion and resilience within their own teams.
Suitable for:
Practice management/senior managers, team leaders, partners.
Course format:
The course will be run via zoom – a joining link will be shared with you a few days before the event. We provide interactive sessions with between 3 and 12 delegates allowing opportunity for small group discussions.
Humber practice staff will now be required to pay a course fee which has been subsidised by GPMplus. These places are limited and are only eligible to be booked by staff working in an NHS practice, within Humber and North Yorkshire ICB.
