This course offers a range of exercises designed to support you in identifying your learning needs within the partnership, while also equipping you with ideas and actions to enhance your ongoing practice.
Suitable for:
This course is aimed at those who have recently joined or are considering moving into GP partnership. This may be from from a salaried or trainee role or other roles considering partnership, such as practice managers and nurses. Partners still in early years but feel they need a refresh on core responsibilities and skills, may also benefit.
Course summary:
Over the two hours, we shall:
- Cover the challenges of being a business owner, whilst still maintaining clinical duties
- Review the basics of belonging to a partnership, including the business and finance and fiscal responsibilities, whilst developing resilience
- Understand the models of leadership and how to create an effective team
- To have a greater understanding re processes and systems and how to manage change
The course includes several exercises for you to explore your own learning needs, within the partnership and allows you to take ideas and actions back to your practice for further development.

North Yorkshire & Humber practice staff will now be required to pay a course fee which has been subsidised by GPMplus. These places are limited and are only eligible to be booked by staff working in an NHS practice, within Humber and North Yorkshire ICB.
